James holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and English) from the University of Tasmania and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University.
James works as a lawyer in our criminal law team. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and will work tirelessly to ensure a just outcome.
James has a high attention to detail, and he understands that preparation, coupled with a deep understanding of the criminal process, is key to achieving the best outcome for his clients.
James believes that anyone charged with a criminal offence deserves the right to have their side of the story heard and he enjoys the challenge of giving his clients a voice within the criminal justice system.
He is aware that the criminal justice system can be confusing and stressful and aims to assist his clients to achieve the best possible outcomes while helping them through a difficult and stressful time in their lives.
He always approaches every client with an open mind about the facts and a sound knowledge of the law.
Outside of work James likes to be in the bush where you will find him cycling, hunting or fishing and is a long-suffering Melbourne supporter.
